The defunct RAO (Research Advisory Office) now RAIPRO (Research Advisory & intellectual Property Right Office) was established on the 26th June, 2019 to oversee the quality of Research Program proposals as well as Liason Office for Institute Research Activities. RAIPRO provides the Director with counsel on a wide variety of matters relating to the approval of Institute's Research Proposals.

Office Objectives
- To assess the research needs on agriculture in the institute’s areas of mandate.
- To lead the development of the Institute research strategy
- Formulate and give template/guidelines for the Institute research Proposal
- Coordinate and collate annual research proposals for presentation to governing board by the Director.
- Allocation of research grants and research–related funds within the context of Policies determined by the institute Management
- Collate all submitted research program budget for forwarding to the Deputy Director’s Office.
- Coordinate the annual research and its quality (in-House Review) consider and access promotion reports of Academic staff from different Programmes, determine appropriateness of resolution and make recommendation to the Director.
