  • To ensure accurate record keeping, compliance with the University Regulations and smooth day- to-day running of the Institute.

    Current Activities

    The Registry is currently performing a wide range of administrative functions aimed at supporting the Institute’s operations and ensuring efficient personnel management. The current activities of the Registry include:

    • Processing staff appointments, confirmation of appointments, promotions and retirements
    • Processing staff leave, posting/deployment of staff and disciplinary matters
    • Maintaining and updating personnel and administrative records
    • Co-ordinating official meetings and administrative communication
    • Issuing internal memoranda, circulars and official correspondences in respect of institutional policies
    • Managing staff performance appraisal documentation
    Services Rendered

    The Registry provides essential administrative and personnel services for the support of daily operations of the Institute

    • Keeping/Custodian of the University/Institute records
    • Processing Recruitment/Selection of qualified staff into various positions in the Institute
    • Processing Annual Review of both academic, non-academic staff in the Institute
    • Ensuring staff compliance with the University/Institute’s regulations
    • Attending to Pension related matters and processing of benefits of retiring officers
    • The Registry has been able to attend to the management and coordination of all matters relating to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the Institute
    • Administration, processing and coordination of all matters of staff accessing funds under the National Housing Funds (NHF) Scheme
    • Staff data and statistics are provided as at when required
    • Activities of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and National Health Insurance Authority are being coordinated in the Institute
    • Providing secretarial support for meetings and committees in the Institute
    • Ensuring security of lives and property within the Institute’s community through the Security Personnel engaged by the Institute
    Future Plan
