Technological achievements: 

Established the potential of phytogenic feed additives (moringa leaf meal, neem leaf meal and lemon extract) as antimicrobials in broiler production. 

 

Research interest:

1. Use of natural feed additives as alternatives to antibiotics in poultry production

 

2. Use of unconventional feed ingredients in compounding poultry feed

 

3. Raising poultry species other than chickens (muscovy ducks, quails)

 

Current research activities:

1. Development of a chicken hybrid using an indigenous and an exotic types of chickens

 

2. Preservation of fresh eggs without refrigeration
