ON-GOING RESEARCH PROJECT


1. Development of Climate Smart Technologies for Maize production along the value chain for adaptation to Southern Ecologies of Nigeria


2. Genetic improvement of under-utilized legumes [Bambara groundnut (Vigna subterranean (L) Verdc), Mung bean (Vigna radiate (L.) Wilcezk), Winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus (L.) DC.), African yam bean (Sphenostylis stenocarpa(Ex A. Rich.) Harms), Lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus)], for their improvement for earliness, high yield and nutritional quality using conventional breeding and molecular markers assisted breeding.
