The Southwest Farming System, Research and Extension Programme of the Institute is organizing a 2-day workshop titled “Sustainable Dry Season Livestock Management for Improved Productivities”. The workshop will hold between Thursday 30th and Friday 31 January at the Professor E.A. Adebowale Training Hall of the Institute. The workshop will cover topics such as effect of dry season on livestock, biosecurity and health management during dry season, feeds and feeding management of livestock during dry season, managing heat stress in poultry and pigs and the economics of dry season livestock farming.
The workshop which is jointly sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Institute has the director of the Institute, in the person of Professor Veronica Adeoti Obatolu as the host.
