The Mandate of public Relations Unit is to project an enviable image of the institute at all times and coordinates its liaison activities for the fulfillment of the institute’s mandate.
The objective of the public relations unit are as follow
1 To promote institute programmes and services to the public .
2 To facilitate support of or assist local, national and international media with news gathering analysis and dissemination.
3 To coordinate trade fairs, exhibitions, field days, excursion and related activities of the institute.
4 To organize workshops, conferences, seminar and other scientific for a in the institute.

The 2018 in-house report of Public Relations Unit
The Unit performs the function of creation and dissemination of information to the press.
The Unit advise the management on matters related to public issues. This includes advising the Institute in the event of product misharp.
The Unit publish an annual in-house magazine called “MOOR-NEWS” Bulletin
PUBLIC RELATIONS UNIT TEAM
THE ANNUAL IN-HOUSE REVIEW EXERCISE
The Annual In-House Review Exercise in the Institute was held between Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April, 2017 at the Training Hall, IAR&T, Moor Plantation,Ibadan.
The occasion which was chaired by The Acting Vice Chancellor Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U), Ile-Ife, Prof. Anthony Elujoba, ably represented by the Provost, Post-Graduate College, Prof. David Alebiowu, had in attendance eminent personalities, Research Scientists, Agricultural and Laboratory Technologists, Students and Pressmen from the Print and Electronic media.
Dignitaries were introduced by the Deputy Registrar/Secretary to the institute, Mr. Deboye Popoola.
The welcome address was delivered by Executive Director, IAR&T, Prof. James Adediran.
Dr. (Mrs) Lucia Ogunsumi delivered the lead paper entitled “INTERGRATED FARMING SYSTEM MODEL FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRICUTURAL PRODUCTIVITY IN NIGERIA”.
The vote of thanks was done by Mr.Deboye Popoola, Deputy Registrar/Secretary to the Institute. The occasion was rounded off with the inspection of Technologies/Products exhibited by the Institute.
2017 WORKPLAN/RE-NAMING OF IAR&T TRANING HALL
The Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Training Hall was officially re-named as “Prof. Ebenezer Adebisi Adebowale Training Hall,” on Friday 19th may, 2017. The hall was part of the numerous projects executed during the tenure of Prof. Adebisi Adebowale as the Director of the Institute.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. James Adediran, Executive Director IAR&T.
Prof. Adebisi Adebowale, who unveiled the new name of the hall with the assistance of other dignitaries in attendance, traced the history of IAR&T from inception. The occasion had in attendance the management staff, HOP/HOU (s), Professors, Research Scientists, Union Leaders and other members of staff of the Institute.
INAUGURATION OF RIGAN 2017 L.O.C. AT IAR&T
The Inauguration of Local Organizing Committee for “Research Institute Games 2017” to be hosted by IAR&T in December this year was held at seminar room, Home Science building, on 26th May, 2017.
Dignitaries in attendants are the Executive Director Prof J. A. Adediran. The management team of the institute, the National RIGAN President Prof. E. S. Adamu, National RIGAN Secretary Dr. Feranmi Owolade, Chairman RIGAN “IAR&T”, Mr. Odunoye Abodurin and other Members of staff of the Institute.
The Chairman at the occasion, Prof. J.A. Adediran, the Executive Director of IAR&T, appreciated the National RIGAN body for giving the hosting right to the institute and further pledged the management support for the programme.
The inauguration of Local Organizing Committee was done by the National RIGAN Secretary, Dr. Feranmi Owolade.
