The Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Obafemi Awolowo University has joined in the effort of States and Federal Government of Nigeria in their fight against COVID-19 through her pledge of re-commitment to her mandates of developing new technologies and training of farmers across the country. This was made known through media chats granted by the Executive director, Veronica Obatolu in different occasions with various media crews. Besides, the Institute has backed-up her commitment by providing seeds for farmers to support them during this planting season and has not relent in her advisory responsibilities to farmers and government in order to achieve food security to the end that COVID-19 is defeated.
